Basalt Products Group
BPG was formed in June 2011 to promote the use of Basalt products and fill the need in
the concrete construction industry for better reinforcement alternatives. BPG has introduced Basalt reinforcement products to companies in North and South America that utilize bars, grids, mesh and chopped fiber for poured in place, precast and utility stuctures.
BPG has an aggressive education program to reach the EOR (Engineer of Record), architects, and the design community to include BFRP in everyday applications. To date BPG has made an impact in the concrete structures market by having BFRP replace the steel in small gauge concrete pipe. Basalt Chopped Fiber is used in Stucco products to minimize cracking. We have also conducting Seminars with various groups around the country dealing in Precast Structures as well as State Highway Departments and Federal officials.
Our relationship with the primary material provider Kamenny Vek started in June 2011 and has shown us the depth of the resources and materials available to the construction industry as it relates to corrosion resistant reinforcement that is Basalt Products. As the primary provider of raw materials they provide the constant stable supply of raw material to produce the base material of all the products we provide. KV provide us with Basalt Roving(spools) Chopped Basalt Fiber and Woven Grids or Fabric material.
In January 2012 we began a relationship with ReforceTech promoting products after searching for products that continue to enforce our stance to provide and promote BFRP products that are the "Best of the Best" available. We are very pleased and excited to be able to promote ReforceTech BFRP, ReforceTech Minibars™. The level of testing and support provided by Reforcetech is second to none in industry. That is why we are pleased to work with them in promoting the use of Basalt Fiber Reinforcing Products.
We also pleased to be working with MagmaTech and promoting their Rock Bar pultruded BFRP products. Their bar products has been featured in the 2010 October edition of ENR on a bridge project in Northern Ireland those links and pictures can be found on our news page.
